Once you experience Wildwood you will understand why people are talking! Wildwood is comprised of 1210 acres, 350 acres of that are dedicated under the Growing Greener Concept. As you enter the property you are surrounded by trees and natural settings. The gentle rolling hills and wide roadways make you want to discover what's around the bend! Many articles have been written about the project and everyone is excited! This is not a new concept, just new to our area! Some sections have their own private "green space" giving the lots a feeling of more privacy and peaceful setting. The subdivision is composed of 3 main types of land: harwood drains, hills with steep slopes, and an area we call "uplands". The Mississippi Business Journal stated in their October 2004 issue that Wildwood is an "initiative blending economic development with preservation". Developer E.C. Stuart, Jr. has incorporated forests, wetlands, green spaces, trails, and public spaces to create one of Mississippi's foremost residential developments. Many articles have been written on this subject and many experts have been consulted. One of the foremost leaders is Randall Arendt. He has written many books on the subject. In the Growing Greener Program he writes, "Growing Greener enables communities to reach as high as their ideals, putting the greener vision of their Comprehensive Plans into practice through conservation zoning and subdivision ordinances that set new standards for more creative development design."
